Yoga Class with Old Town Yoga

Join Old Town Yoga at this year’s Poudre RiverFest for a 45-minute outdoor yoga class! This is an all-levels class that is free and open to everyone, no experience necessary. Come move, breathe, and stretch with us as we celebrate community, connection, and the beauty of the Poudre River.

Painting Class with Pinot's Palette

Are you ready to have some fun! Join us at our Poudre RiverFest painting sessions!

Experienced Pinot's Palette artists will guide you step-by-step through a scenic nature painting. The painting process is closely guided and well-structured, while giving participants the wiggle room they need to be creative with their art! This activity is free and perfect for all ages.

Painting sessions will be held inside New Belgium Brewing from 1 PM to 2 PM and 3 PM to 4 PM. Spots are limited and awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

*Attendees with an RSVP to the painting sessions will be able to check in up to five minutes after the session start. After the five minute period, all remaining spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Cultivating A Forest Project with local artist Erika Osborne

Cultivating a Forest is an ongoing environmental art project that parallels post-wildfire reforestation efforts in northern Colorado with a sustained, durational drawing practice and community-based workshops. Developed in partnership with the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed (CPRW) and the Colorado Forest Restoration Institute (CFRI), the project translates ecological restoration into a cumulative visual form by using a handmade, black ink derived from wood burnt in the Cameron Peak wildfire to create drawings of saplings planted in the burn scar by human hands. This practice transforms material traces of wildfire into marks of regeneration and hope.

This project is supported in part by the Sharon Prize.

Erika Osborne is a Fort Collins-based artist whose creative work explores cultural connections to place and environment, especially in the mountains and deserts of the western United States. She has exhibited internationally and across the U.S., received numerous grants and awards including a 2019 Fulbright fellowship, and is currently represented by Visions West Contemporary.

The Poudre RiverFest Family Zone is a special area where children and families can let their imaginations soar! This safe and engaging space is filled with activities, craft stations and games tailored just for kids. Let your little ones explore, create, and enjoy. Plus, see live animals courtesy of Rescued Friends Animal Sanctuary! 

The Family Zone is not monitored by staff, do not leave children unattended. An adult must be present with each child in the Family Zone.

Step into an immersive journey along the Cache la Poudre River. Our 30’ x 10’ tunnel allows you to learn about each section of the river from Headwaters to the Lower Watershed. See the wildlife and habitat along the way, smell the scents of nature and hear the sounds of the outdoors. The Poudre River Experience will be open the entire day.

Ride your bike to Poudre RiverFest! Want to help improve air quality in the summertime? Biking is a fast and fun way to get around your neighborhood! And, it helps keep cars off the road — and their emissions from contributing to our most pressing air quality issue in the Front Range: ground-level ozone.

For distances shorter than 2 miles, consider leaving the car at home and walking, riding a bike or an e-bike, or using a scooter to get where you need to go. Many bike lanes and routes are mapped out on various mobile apps, including Bike Streets, Bikemap, Google Maps, and more. You can also integrate biking into a trip with public transit, bike racks on buses and on trains, and free bike storage along major transit routes.

Don’t forget your helmet — they’re required for all class 3 e-bike operators and passengers under 18! And if riding at sunrise, dusk, or after dark, bike lights and reflectors are also a key component of bike safety, allowing drivers to see you more easily as you share the road. (They’re also required by law.)
